The combination of excellent real estate purchase opportunities, a continued interest in luxury travel, and a demand for additional financial security from members has made for a near perfect selling environment for luxury residence fund Equity Estates. After growing by more than 50% in both 2008 and 2009, Equity Estates has anticipated their most successful six month window through the end of the year, leading to several new property acquisitions available to members.

Equity Estates AnguillaOne of the newest acquisitions is in Anguilla, home to a 7,500 square foot villa overlooking the secluded Lover's Cove along the dramatic Anguillan shoreline. The four bedroom retreat includes its own infinity pool and is just 10 minutes from Shoal Bay Beach, the top rated beach in the world by The Travel Channel.

Ordinarily available exclusively to member owners, Equity Estates is making this breathtaking residence available to one lucky bidder as the club is giving away a weeklong stay at the villa, including round trip, first class airfare for eight. With an estimated value of $75,000, bidding is currently at $12,500 and will end early on November 18th to be part of a live auction that evening. The proceeds of the auction will benefit The Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation.

This isn't the first time that the luxury residence fund has made their dedication to cancer research evident. Earlier this year, Equity Estates sponsored the Jack & Jill Late Stage Cancer Foundation, pledging to help create awareness for the group, provide vacation experiences each year to patients, and encouraging members to donate their own nights to the foundation.

Following the bankruptcy filing at Ultimate Escapes, many destination club members are continuing to understand the benefits of equity ownership, drawing many to clubs like Equity Estates and the Abercrombie & Kent Residence Club. Anecdotally, we have spoken to several new clubs that have yet to formally announce their launch and nearly all are leaning towards an equity based model.
