Destination Club Resales Available For Steep Discounts

Earlier in the year, we profiled the destination club resales available across the industry, giving current members the ability to sell their membership to new buyers, likely at steep discounts from market rates. Following our article, we were contacted by multiple members and travelers looking to either purchase or sell a destination club membership.

To help assist in the process of bringing buyers and sellers together, we have created our Destination Club Resale Form. By providing us with your name and e-mail address, we will strive to align current destination club members looking to sell with luxury travelers looking to buy.

If you are currently a destination club member looking to sell your membership, please review your membership documents and speak with a club representative to see if secondary sales of your membership are allowed. If you are able to sell your membership, complete our short form by including the name of your club, your desired sale value, the number of nights included as part of your membership, and any other information that might be of value to potential buyers.

If you are looking to purchase a resold destination club membership, please provide us with any clubs you may be interested in, your desired price range, the number of nights you wish to travel per year, and any other details that may impact your purchase.

"I am very satisfied with my destination club membership and continue to travel with the club," one member looking to sell their membership told us earlier this month. "Like many, the economy has made me reevaluate our families travel needs. We are going to continue to travel if we are unable to sell our membership, but wish to explore the opportunity."

In addition to purchasing a membership for less than market value, buying a membership from a current member also allows for the possibility to take over future reservations. For example, if the current member already has a week long vacation planned to Los Cabos, a weekend excursion to New York, and a ski trip to Telluride already reserved, the buyer may potentially be able to take these reservations, giving them prime vacation times already on the books from the second they become a member.
