Commemorating Mexico's victory over the French at the Battle of Puebla in 1862, May 5 is a day of celebration for many in both the United States and Mexico. With summer right around the corner, many destination club members are already planning visits to our beautiful southern neighbor.
Atop the most requested destination list of members at nearly every destination club, Mexico's blend of inviting beaches, deeply rooted history and culture, and easy access have made for more than a few memorable vacations over the years.
Like many other categories within the destination club industry, Exclusive Resorts leads the pack in Mexico, totaling well over 50 properties between Los Cabos and Puerto Vallarta. Because of this large number of easily accessible residences, Exclusive Resorts is seeking to capitalize on their market dominance. Earlier this year, the club announced an initiative to expand awareness throughout Latin America to their club and the destination club concept through an alliance with The Americas Group, a marketing firm focused on the region.
"Exclusive Resorts has set the standard for the luxury destination club space for seven years, creating a unique way for families and friends to travel together using elegant multi-room villas and cosmopolitan residences that is simply better than any alternative," said Howard Glicken, Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of The Americas Group. "We look forward to working with them to showcase their outstanding destinations, service and amenities in this exciting market."
Ultimate Escapes has properties in Mexico at all three of their club levels, Elite, Signature, and Premiere. Six of the nearly 20 properties in the country are available to Elite members in Los Cabos, ranging from approximately 2,500 to over 5,500 square feet. Varying between three and five bedrooms each, large groups of families and friends can often be found enjoying the local golf, beaches, and tourists attractions found nearby.
Members of Quintess have discussed the various amenities available to them while visiting the club's 11 properties in Los Cabos, ranging from shopping and spa visits to catamaran sailing and mariachi bands playing at a private dinner.
Members of the Abercrombie & Kent Residence Club have access to two properties in Los Cabos. The four bedroom, four and one half bath Casa Miramar (pictured above) overlooks the Sea of Cortez and comfortably sleeps eight. Also located within Cabo del Sol, one of Los Cabos' most premier neighborhoods, is the Villa del Amor, featuring a heated infinity swimming pool, swim-up bar, and dual master suites. Casa Luna is located in Punta Mita, Mexico, within the Lagos del Mar subdivision, bordering the 9th fairway of a Jack Nicklaus designed course. The four bedroom home also showcases flat screen televisions in every room, a heated infinity pool, private gardens, and a 24-hour dual gated security entrance.
Even our neighbors to the north find the value in offering members access to Cabo San Lucas as M Private Residences, Canada's largest destination club, counts three vacation homes in the area, each within a ten minute drive of the city.
Members of Equity Estates, Capricorne Villas, The Discovery Club and multiple other destination clubs also have vacation options throughout Mexico available at their fingertips.
Destination clubs provide members with a vast collection of vacation properties around the world, leading many luxury travelers to join rather than purchasing second homes or staying at five-star hotels.
