Destination Club News Releases Concept Album
By: Destination Club News Date: April 1, 2010
In a move that some are calling "bold," Destination Club News has released their new hit record, Get In The Club, a collection of songs dedicated to educating both luxury travelers and music aficionados alike about the destination club concept.
"We like to compare ourselves to whoever your favorite band is," remarked Levi Moe, who supplied background vocals and played the keytar on the album. "We sound exactly like whoever they are."
Staring blankly at a rerun of an old episode of Battlestar Galactica, Moe added, "Exactly," for greater emphasis after several awkward moments of silence after ketchup from his cheeseburger dripped onto his "good pair" of sweatpants.
Destination Club News is a free resource for those interested in learning more about the benefits and risks of membership, including ongoing news coverage, press releases, and insight into every destination club.
"While Get In The Club will probably be mentioned in nearly every year end top ten list because of the music, we think it will reinvent the way that destination clubs market themselves," Moe continued. "We expect Exclusive Resorts, the Abercrombie & Kent Residence Club, and other leading destination clubs to begin marketing their product in this fashion in the near future. You soon won't be able to visit your local music store without seeing Ultimate Escapes right next to U2 or Banyan Tree Private Collection just in front of Beyonce."
Despite Moe's high praise for the album, reviews have been near universally negative. "I compare Get In The Club to pushing a Q-tip as far into your ear canal as you can. Painful, annoying, and leaves a permanent problem on your hearing for the rest of your life," wrote one reviewer. Another called it "a disjointed piece of garbage that can only be classified as music because it includes singing and instruments." Supporters of the album have primarily focused on the group's ability to find dozens of words that rhyme with "club," which is used over 800 times over the album's 32 minutes of music.
Despite the primarily poor feedback, Destination Club News plans on producing a music video for the album's first single, "Annual Dues and Annual Don'ts."
