Demeure Introduces One and Three Year Membership Options

"Since stepping onto center stage a few months ago, we've been listening to each and every one of you," writes Demeure. "Your input, suggestions, and comments have been very insightful and have had a real impact on our evolution, even in such a short period."

Based on those remarks from members and potential members alike, Demeure's "evolution" is the introduction of new one and three year membership options, joining the five year membership already available to luxury travelers.

"These new membership options make it easy to travel with Demeure without jumping right into a longer-term commitment with our standard 5-year membership," the club continues. "Everyone who travels with Demeure receives the same level of personal service, no matter which membership option they choose. The main difference between our memberships is the level of discounts available: the longer your term, the greater your discounts."

The newly created "Demeure Discovery Membership" gives members one year of travel with no initiation fee and discounts of up to 20% at club properties. The Three Year Membership provides discounts of 30% for a $1,000 initiation fee and the standard Five Year Membership gives the full 40% discount to members for a $2,500 initiation fee.

This more flexible, lower obligation trend has been norm across the destination club industry for quite some time as travelers continue to worry about the security of their membership funds. Demeure holds membership funds in escrow to alleviate much of this risk, but these new one and three year plans allow members the opportunity to test the club before putting down more sizeable amounts of money, very much akin to the trial membership options that many of Demeure's peers have created in recent years.

We spoke with Demeure today and were told that 30 contributed properties are in the pipeline, meaning 30 new fair exchange members should be added "in the very near future." The club is visiting the properties conducting their due diligence and plans to list the residences in the next few weeks.
