Banyan Tree Private Collection Adds Four New Properties
By: Destination Club News Date: June 3, 2010
Late last year, Banyan Tree Private Collection added over 20 new associate villas available to members. January of this year saw the club add Kyoto, Japan to their property portfolio just days after announcing a partnership with The Hideaways Club, giving members reciprocal access to all the properties in The Hideaways Club's collection. Now the club has announced the addition of four new residences comprised of two "own villa inclusions" and two new associate villas.
At Banyan Tree Lijiang, members will now have access to a three bedroom jet pool villa. To the south of the Jade Dragon Snow Mountains and just 15 minutes from Dayan, regarded as the Venice of the Orient, Banyan Tree Lijiang includes a fitness center, library, and tennis courts amongst others.
The two bedroom pool villa at the Banyan Tree Phuket is bordered by the Andaman Sea and is just 20 minutes from Phuket International Airport, giving members easy access to one of the most awe inspiring destinations on the map. Golfing, water sports, cooking classes, yoga sessions and others activities are suggested by the club while in residence. The property features an open air sunken bath, mini bar, and private landscaped garden.
Joining the club's associate villas list is Banyan Tree Club and Spa in Seoul. Starting May 28, the resort began taking guests at their assortment of rooms and suites, each with a plunge pool and view, with no more than four per floor.
Beginning July 15, members will also have access to Banyan Tree Samui in Thailand. Known for its beaches and mountains alike, Samui has been inhabited for an estimated 15 centuries and may be named for the Chinese word Saboey, meaning "safe haven." The second most popular island destination in Thailand behind only Phuket, Samui's Banyan Tree resort will feature one and two bedroom Thai-style villas with natural rattan and bamboo furniture and Thai silk accents to capture the extensive history of the island.
The combination of own villas, associate villas, and reciprocal properties now totals 68 and through the club's current promotion, may continue to rise. In April, Banyan Tree Private Collection announced a partnership with Habitat for Humanity, pledging to contribute $10,000 for every membership sold and discounting Individual Memberships by $10,000 to new members who contribute their own $10,000 to the organization.
