Abundant Life Appears on The Global Learning Series
By: Destination Club News Date: July 23, 2009
Two years ago today, Abundant Life Club announced that they would appear on a new program called "Understanding Luxury Travel" on The Global Learning Series.
While the near four minute video is informative about what specifically a destination club is and the unique benefits attached, the claims boasted by the Abundant Life narration are at the very least, bold.
"While offering the comforts of an elegant home, Abundant Life offers the best in luxury travel by treating you to five-star service. Unlike other clubs, we provide maid services, a limosine with driver at your service day or night, concierge services, private chef, butler, and upon request, massause, baby sitter or personal trainer."
Nestled between images of mowing the lawn and waiting for the plumber to arrive are families walking along the beach and skiing pristine mountain terrains.
"Abundant Life offers its members the most beautiful locations and homes and are priced more affordable with a higher level of amenities and service than any other luxury vacation club," the narration continues.
Leading clubs Exclusive Resorts, Abercrombie & Kent Residence Club, and Equity Estates to name but a few may not entirely agree with some of the assertions made by Abundant Life.
"With Abundant Life, I didn't need a huge sum of money to put down," said Vacation Club Member Charles Williams. "In fact, there were no up front fees at all."
How Mr. Williams acquired his membership is unknown, but traditionally Abudant Life offers membership plans that begin at $50,000 with annual dues of $8,340 up to a membership deposit of $250,000 with annual dues of $144,000.
As the video concludes, Abundant Life announces that they plan to acquire more than 200 properties worldwide and a 100 foot yacht with crew.
Abundant Life uses a selling model where virtually anyone can serve for the club as a "National Membership Director." Not marketed by the club as a franchise, Abundant Life trains these Directors in the benefits of club membership and ask these individuals to be "in touch with all the movers, shakers, and most successful people (and businesses) in your market."
