The Abercrombie & Kent Residence Club, one of the destination club industry's leading equity based clubs, has announced an unprecedented discount, letting luxury travelers save up to nearly $200,000 on a membership with the club.

"There has never been a better time to join the Club – nor a better value," said Scott Wiseman, Abercrombie & Kent Residence Club President. "The Club’s residences – which are each typically 4,000 square feet with four bedrooms and at least four bathrooms – are comfortable 'homes away from home' for family and friends, and the perfect places to experience your most memorable family vacations."

Each of the club's three membership plans will see sizeable discounts until the promotion ends on March 31, 2010. Upon joining, members will pay the new reduced price and their first year of annual dues.

  • 15-Night Annual Plan
    • Regular Price: $225,000
    • Incentive Price: $135,000
    • Annual Dues: $17,000
  • 30-Night Annual Plan
    • Regular Price: $390,000
    • Incentive Price: $234,000
    • Annual Dues: $29,000
  • 45-Night Annual Plan
    • Regular Price: $495,000
    • Incentive Price: $297,000
    • Annual Dues: $42,000

Members will enjoy all of the same privileges and benefits as current members, including 24/7 access to travel planners and Destination Hosts for insight into local amenities, dinner reservations, and grocery shopping while in residence. Members can also exchange nights within the A&K Residence Club for nights within the Abercrombie & Kent catalogue, including safaris in Africa, the exploration of Europe's most historic cities, or ascending to the base camp of Mount Everest.

The Abercrombie & Kent Residence Club is also currently offering two-year trial memberships to potential members who are interested in destination club membership but do not want to put up a large, up-front membership deposit. The Abercrombie & Kent Residence Club Trial Membership requires no up-front membership deposit and instead charges members annual dues for each of their two years with the club. Members pay a 10% premium compared to full equity members, but that dues premium is applied the full equity price if the member elects to upgrade following their two years as a trial member.

The "no better time than now" sales pitch is often used throughout the destination club industry, but the current rates for the equity membership are some of the most prodigious savings the sector has seen in its decade long existence.
