The first destination club to focus exclusively on beach properties in the Caribbean, Moncasa Private Club Residences would make their formal introduction to the destination club industry in the middle of 2008.
"We are not just a real estate company or a typical destination club focused on solely acquiring homes," said President John Collins. "Moncasa Private Club Residences is a global travel relational management services company, bringing our considerable consumer insight and experience to create a new paradigm of experiential travel with a compelling equity club model."
At full capacity, Moncasa Private Club Residences would include 80 properties in 50 Caribbean destinations and a collection of adventure trips ranging from cruises in the Leeward Islands or underwater treasure explorations along colonial sailing routes.
During Toronto's Caribbean Week in 2008, the Canada based destination club began to actively sell memberships to their core group of Canadian buyers. The club would make 52 founding memberships available from $27,400 up to $89,000 for individual memberships and $135,000 for corporate and group memberships.
Despite the club's high hopes, it appears that Moncasa Private Club Residences stalled at this point, likely only acquiring a small collection of members. The small club remains in operation but no news has emerged from Moncasa Private Club Residences since 2008.
