Mirabella Estates

"Imagine being at home in the world. Perfectly relaxed in a luxurious multi-million-dollar home ideally set in the world's finest destinations. Home. A place where your family and friends feel the warmth of welcome. Where your arrival is carefully anticipated and your every desire fulfilled. And where you can relax in the confidence of a well-placed lifestyle investment."

Language fairly similar to nearly all destination clubs, Mirabella Estates was a "highly exclusive limited partnership offering a lifestyle investment with Exclusive Access Rights in a portfolio of one-of-a-kind, multi-million dollar private homes in some of the world's most desirable resort destinations. Ownership is ideal for those considering buying a second home, but not wanting to allocate the required capital or be locked into a single destination with all the hassles of typical second-home ownership."

Mirabella offered Class B limited partnership interests to accredited investors. The club originally had two membership plans available, Gold and Platinum, available for $375,000 and $475,000 respectively with a one-time initiation and closing fee. Mirabella would also launch a third memberhip level, Titanium.

The three plans offered unlimited space available reservations in addition to the clubs advanced reservations as part of their usage structure.

Ironically, the "exclusivity" of the club was the proper word choice as the Austin, Texas based club was acquired in December of 2003 by a fairly new club that would quickly become the largest club in the destination club industry, Exclusive Resorts.

"We are excited to be joining the Exclusive Resorts family," said Mirabella's CEO and Co-Founder, Jason Lippman. "Our customers have been thrilled with the Mirabella product and service. Together with Exclusive Resorts, we can bring this unique offering to more customers in more locations than we could have otherwise."

The estimated $20 million value of the Mirabella Estates' assets not only included real estate in Telluride and Snowmass, but also "Mirabella's proprietary marketing data, statistical models and customer service systems."

After the acquisition of Mirabella Estates, and another small club called The Odyssey Club, Exclusive Resorts has gone on to dominate the destination club industry, with well over 3,000 members and over $1 billion in real estate holdings.
