The Markers Club Usage
Prior to a "relaunch" of the club in early 2009, The Markers Club operated like many other destination clubs, requiring an up front but refundable membership deposit and annual dues to use the club.
As High Country Club, LUSSO Collection, Solstice and various other clubs fell on hard times throughout 2008 and into 2009, The Markers Club looked to overhaul their offering. Instead of charging a large, up front membership deposit, the club would sell year to year memberships. Members could renew or resign their membership at the conclusion of their year with no refundable deposit required for membership.
Under the new club structure, members can travel up to 30 nights per year to The Markers Club properties. Members can purchase additional nights of usage on a space available basis. The additional nightly cost varies based on the property and season selected.
Members can stay up to 14 consecutive nights at one residence and can make advanced reservations up to one calendar year in advance. Members can not make advanced reservations at the same property for the same date in consecutive years.
Members can allow immediate family members access to their membership and corporate members can designate whoever they wish access.
If a Markers Club member does not use all of their nights during the year, upon renewal, up to seven nights can be rolled over to the next calendar year on a space available basis.
The Markers Club has also introduced a "Legagy Membership" that allows for unlimited club use and priority reservations. Unlike the Individual and Corporate membership options, Legacy members pay a one time membership fee of $500,000 and enjoy club access for life.
