The Markers Club is the only destination club to focus on the luxury golf experience, providing members a portfolio of vacation properties in some of the world's most sought after golf destinations.
In 2009, after years of operating like many other destination clubs, charging members a refundable membership deposit and annual dues to access the club's properties, The Markers Club "relaunched" with a new business structure.
Rather than charging an up front membership deposit, The Markers Club would simply charge members an annual membership fee. Members can renew or resign their membership at the end of the year, effectively creating a year to year membership.
The genesis of this new membership structure came as many leading destination clubs were forced to cease operations in 2008 and into 2009. As these clubs began to topple, the refundable membership deposits owed to members were near universally left unpaid. The Markers Club sought to create their new structure to rid the model from including this obligation and let members travel without worrying about the security of their membership funds.
