The equity based destination club Legacy Luxury almost completely fleshed out their club's value proposition. The club quoted pricing, resignation policies, planned occupancy levels, loan to value structures, and various other granular details about how Legacy Luxury would be designed. While much of the club's model was released, no information regarding the executive team was ever revealed.

"The idea for Legacy began in 2007, when two savvy investor families wanted to provide a group of similar people who wanted more out of their vacation experience, an extraordinary array of multi-million dollar homes they would own as well as use and enjoy. As the concept grew, the Legacy founders set out to develop an unprecedented club that would provide it’s Member-Owners with phenomenal luxury and ease of use. An equity-based club where all members are owners, Legacy combines the best part of owning your own vacation home and marries it with the five-star-service you’ve come to expect while traveling. And because you can bequeath your ownership to an heir, you are truly investing in your family and their vacation experiences and memories for generations to come."

The identity of these two savvy investor families was never disclosed and even more strangely, the Legacy Luxury website did not provide any phone numbers, email addresses, contact information, or even a contact form for interested candidates to get in touch with the young destination club.

As 2008 concluded and 2009 began, leading destination clubs like LUSSO Collection, Solstice Collection, and High Country Club were forced into bankruptcy. Even industry powerhouses like Ultimate Escapes, Quintess, and Exclusive Resorts massaged their offering to become more sustainable during lean economic times. With interest in the luxury travel market declining due to the economy, Legacy Luxury quietly ceased operations, likely still several months away from launching publicly.
