"Legacy Destinations was created to solve the problems associated with the destination clubs currently operating in the marketplace. The destination club model is based on members sharing a portfolio of fully furnished, multi-bedroom homes in various destinations around the world. Similar to a golf club membership, members pay an initiation fee and annual dues for exclusive scheduled access to homes with accompanied five-star service. Members travel to beach, mountain, and city residences in the portfolio for distinctive luxury vacation experiences."

"After realizing the current destination clubs faced many of the same reoccurring problems, Legacy Destinations saw an opportunity for a better destination club model. Using input from industry experts, current destination club members, second homeowners, and employees of competing clubs, Legacy Destinations created a superior destination club."

Legacy Destinations would enter into partnerships with second home owners and developers to build their collection of vacation residences. Contributors would receive a free membership, including free annual dues, membership fee, and nightly fees.

Eventually the club would market their membership to the public, charging "substantial" membership fees to outside members.

At launch, Legacy Destinations only made one member of their team known, their Founder and the face of the club.

Many other shared ownership programs have operated similar structures, but it appears that Legacy Destinations never got fully off the ground as emails have bounced back and the club's phone number is no longer in operation.
