Unlike the majority of other destination clubs who typically own a centralized collection of vacation properties, Legacy Destinations planned to operate by "forming partnerships with existing homeowners and dvelopers to add properties for a luxury vacation home inventory."
This model allows for the club to operate with very little overhead, as the club's properties and their associated costs are held outside the company by the contributing home owners.
To entice these homeowners, members would receive a complimentary membership, including free annual dues, nightly fees, and membership deposit.
The long term business structure would to market the club and its properties to the public, offering their unique destination club brand by charging "significant membership deposits."
Today, the club's email addresses are no longer operational and the phone number directs to a limousine service. Due to their short time in the destination club sector, only one document was released about Legacy Destinations, a brief overview of the club and it's structure.
