Legacy Destinations Annual Dues
Legacy Destinations was "created to offer a more competitive approach to the destination club industry." The business model was for members to partner with homeowners and developers who wanted to make their homes available to club members in exchange for a free membership within the club. The club would then sell outside memberships and theoretically begin purchasing their own residences.
While the concept appears to be thought out, the actual membership offering appears not to be. Everything from annual dues, membership plans, pricing, usage, and other general membership terms were unknown, and the club was unable to successfully market their product. It appears that the club has ceased operations as emails have bounced back and the phone number directs to a limousine company.
This type of structure has been implemented by several other shared ownership programs to varying degrees of success, but whether or not this type of model fits the definition of a destination club has been frequently debated.
If you are a Legacy Destinations employee, member, or prospect and would like to provide additional information about the club's annual dues, or any other aspect of the club's offering, please contact us at contribute@destinationclubnews.com.
