Leading Residences of the World
Resignation and Redemption

"What happens if I ever decide to resign my membership?"

"The Leading Residences of the World will refund your membership deposit, less a 20% transfer fee, on a three-in and one-out basis (After the club acquires three new members the next membership sold will be used to replace a resigned membership), or within 12 months, whichever comes first. The refund promise is backed by member funds held in escrow, equity in Club Properties or insurance."

The club heavily marketed the financial protection that they provided to members and their refundable membership fees.

"The Leading Residences of the World provides its members with an unprecedented layer of consumer protection by backing its membership deposit refund promise by member funds held in escrow or trust, equity in Club properties or insurance. This financial security has, up until now, been absent from the luxury destination club product."

Many other destination clubs have virtually identical resignation and redemption policies, but The Leading Residences of the World was the first to have an insurance component to their membership.

A year and a half after their public launch, The Leading Residences of the World and Quintess would formally merge, creating Quintess, The Leading Residences of the World.

The two Colorado based destination clubs Quintess and Dream Catcher Retreats had merged just months prior to the merger with LRW. The combination of the three clubs secured the collected club near the top of the destination club sector in terms of members, destinations, and total properties.
