How Fun Resorts
Usage

After the LUSSO Collection filed for bankruptcy, How Fun Resorts was formed. Created by a former member of LUSSO looking to continue the destination club experience for all of the club's former members, How Fun Resorts would adopt most of their predecessor's reservation policies.

The highlights of the club's reservation policies are:

  • Members cannot reserve more than one Club Property for the same day unless the Member is leaving one Club Property and arriving into another Club Property on the same day.
  • All reservations of Club Properties are made on a first-come, first-served basis and subject to availability of a property, at the time the reservation is made, for the desired duration in the Club Location of the Member's choice.
  • A Member may not return, or schedule to return, to a Club destination within 14 days of the end of a stay, or scheduled stay, at that same destination, except under a Short Notice Reservation
  • No more than two of a Member's permitted maximum of four Standard Reservations and two Advanced Reservations at any point in time may be for the same Club location. Short Notice Reservations are excluded from this provision.

How Fun Resorts would classify reservations as either standard, advanced, or short notice reservations.

Standard Reservations
Standard reservations would be those made between 15 and 365 days prior to travel. Reservations could be made for a maximum of 14 consecutive nights and a minimum of two consecutive nights. Members could have up to four standard reservations in the reservation calendar at one time, not to exceed 35 nights.

Advanced Reservations
Defined as reservations made between 366 and 730 days in advance of travel, advanced reservations allowed members the ability to stay for up to seven consecutive nights or as few as two consecutive nights. Members could not hold more than two advanced reservations at one time, not to exceed 14 nights.

Short Notice Reservations
Short notice reservations were those made less than 15 days prior to travel. These types of reservations allowed a member the ability to stay for 14 consecutive nights or as few as one night. Members could make unlimited short notice reservations throughout the year.

How Fun Resorts never fully emerged following LUSSO's bankruptcy, with many of the former club's member hesitant to invest in an unproven destination club.
