After LUSSO Collection, one of the destination club industry's largest clubs, filed for bankruptcy, a collection of individuals attempted to take the membership experience from the club but with a different financial set-up.
This vision was the foundation of How Fun Resorts.
The club would use many of the same policies and regulations used at the LUSSO Collection, including the same reservation policies and holiday access plans.
How Fun Resorts would also look at the former LUSSO Collection properties as part of their portfolio. The club conducted a survey to determine the club's most desired locations. The results were:
- Los Cabos, Mexico
- New York City, New York
- Naples, Florida
- Deer Valley, Utah
- Kiawah Island, South Carolina
The club didn't progress past their property planning stage and it seems that the club has been put on an indefinite hiatus and none of these identified destinations
