Golden Years Holidays
Holiday Access

To be clear and not confuse the wording used on opposite sides of the pond, Golden Years Holidays markets the primary benefit of membership in their destination club as "holidays for life." While Golden Years Holidays members do have access to the peak holiday periods of Christmas, Easter, New Year's, and others, "holidays" refers to vacations.

An increasingly popular club structure, Golden Years Holidays uses a points based system for reservations throughout the year. Each property has a variable point total, based on the property itself and the season. Similar structures are beginning to gain momentum, like those used at the Discovery Club and the Ritz-Carlton Destination Club.

Members who wish to travel during the peak holiday seasons use more points during these highly accessed times than members who travel during non-peak seasons, even for the same property.

This type of reservation structure has some significant advantages and disadvantages over the more traditional system that most destination clubs use, where each member knows the amount of nights they receive each year with each property is equal despite the season.
