Future Value
Sometimes referred to as “then current value,” this phrase refers to the redemption value of a membership when a member elects to resign their membership. Some destination clubs let members redeem their membership for more than the original membership fee they paid to join. As the club increases its membership fees, existing members can redeem their membership for a percentage of the value of the membership fee at the time they resign. This model benefits members who join the club early and remain with the club over the course of multiple price increases.
