Emperum Club Documents
Focusing primarily on the business traveler, the Canadian based Emperum Club gives members access to a collection of luxury hotels and resorts and airline transfers, tours, and dining cards all under one membership.
"Emperum Club diligently explored the needs of business professionals and leisure holidaymakers and put together a package of travel essentials in the world’s most popular destinations, all of which become accessible through flexible membership plans," the club would write when first introduced late in 2008.
"Upon joining the Club, members gain access to a range of pre-selected top-notch services for one year, including luxurious suite and villa accommodations at legendary five-star hotels and resorts, deluxe airport-hotel transfers, exciting tours and fine dining experiences. Depending on the purchased membership plan, members get a specific number of days for travel, accompanied by other services integrated in their benefits package. Members are granted complete freedom and flexibility to choose where/when to travel, for how long, and where/when to make use of other services such as transfers, tours and dining."
Other clubs within the destination club industry have similar club models, including the now closed One Key World and The Discovery Club.
This type of club design allows the club to drastically reduce their costs as none of the properties available to members are owned by the club. In addition, new properties and destinations can quickly join the club's portfolio if affiliate properties join the club.
Despite the merits, some within the destination club industry debate if this type of club design fits the definition of a destination club. If you would like to learn more about the different club structures, and the benefits and risks of each, request a free copy of our Destination Club Guide.
