Resignation and Redemption

Like many other destination clubs, Diamante Residence members were put on a resignation list when they wanted to leave the club. One member on the resignation list would be redeemed and have their membership deposit refunded for every three new members that joined the club.

At Diamante, a member was required to be a club member for 24 months before they were eligible to resign their membership.

Once the three new members were acquired, Diamante would redeem the highest ranking member on the resignation list, repaying 80% of the current value of the membership.

This type of structure allowed the member to receive more than they paid in if the club had increased their prices by more than 25% of the lifetime of the membership.

This membership options continues to be one of the more popular structures in the industry with many leading destination clubs having similar redemption policies.
