One of the shortest tenured destination clubs in the sector, Diamante Residences announced their club in the summer of 2008. By October of the same year, amid the financial and real estate crisis, the club had laid off their staff and announced that they would suspend operations.

The suspension appears to be permanent as no new news has emerged from the club and soon after their announcement, the club's website was removed.
