Diamante Residences Membership Plans
The upstart Canadian firm launched with five different membership plans available to members, ranging from $150,000 to $395,000 with 12 to 50 nights of annual usage. Unfortunately, the club launched at the very start of the economic downturn and decided to not move further. Co-Founder David Udy stated, "In light of the ongoing financial difficulties in the markets, it was not the appropriate time to proceed with the launch of Diamante. The concept is still valid but right now the timing is not," leaving an opportunity for the destination club to again be introduced to the market, but no new news has surfaced from the club since this announcement late in 2008.
Excelsior Membership
Providing members 12 nights of travel annually, Excelsior Memberships allowed for one advanced reservation, two standard reservations, and up to 14 space available reservations per year. Memberships were sold at $150,000 with projected annual dues of $8,000 per year.
Florentine Membership
For $225,000, members were allotted 21 nights of annual travel, composed of one advanced reservation and two standard reservations. Florentine members were also entitled to unlimited space available reservations, the lowest membership tier that offered this capability. Annual dues for this club level were projected to be approximately $13,000.
Jubilee Membership
Known as the "Two Family" Membership, Diamante's Jubilee Membership was offered at $395,000 and included 40 nights of annual travel. Like the club's Florentine membership, members were allowed unlimited space available reservations within 30 days of the first night of travel. The Jubilee Membership was the lowest club membership of the Diamante offerings that provided for holiday usage. Annual dues were estimated to be near $24,000 per year.
Tiffany Membership
Labeled as the "Corporate" Membership, Tiffany was very similar to Diamante's Jubilee Membership. Both offered members 40 nights of annual travel, two advanced reservations, four standard reservations, and unlimited space available reservations for a capital contribution of $395,000. The notable difference between the two membership plans annual dues were estimated to be $5,000 higher for Tiffany members, clocking in at a projected $29,000 annualy.
Regent Membership
Like the Jubilee and Tiffany Memberships, Regent cost $395,000 to join, providing members two advanced reservations and four standard reservations for up to 50 nights of annual usage, in addition to unlimited space available reservations. Also like the Jubilee and Tiffany Memberships, members could travel during one holiday period each year. Despite the fact that the Regent Membership provided for 50 nights of annual travel, annual dues for Regent members were $22,000, less expensive than both the Jubilee and Tiffany Memberships that provided 40 nights of annual travel. This dues delta was due to the fact that both Jubilee and Tiffany members could have multiple users while Regent members had one primary member, but could gift up to two weeks per year to friends and family for their use.
