Just one of a growing number of destination clubs that launch under capitalized and are forced to quickly cease operations, Diamante Residences launched in the summer of 2008 and by August had announced they would suspend their official public launch.

The young club launched with an array of Founding Member benefits, including:

• 25% savings on membership pricing
• Waived annual dues until June 30, 2009
• Seniority rights on all new properties
• Participation in club's decisions

While substantial, these benefits were not enough to attract the wellspring of new members the club needed to stay afloat.

By October, the club had laid off their employees and announced that "The concept is still valid but right now the timing is not."

While the club made it seem that a return to the sector may be possible, the club's website was removed soon thereafter and no news has emerged about the club.

Based on their short time in the destination club industry, it is likely that the club managed to only procure a handful of members, if any at all.
