Most destination clubs give members access to a collection of luxury vacation properties around the world. Destination Cellars takes a different approach for the design of their club.

Members of Destination Cellars enjoy luxury "experiences" with the club that Founder David Kuehner defines as "whatever happens in the 'four walls' of the winery." This could consist of cooking lessons with a lunch or dinner at the cellar, tours of the vineyards, or any other arrangements sought by the member.

At the beginning of 2009, Destination Cellars had already established a partnership network of more than 100 of the world's top wineries with half based domestically and the remaining half littered throughout Europe.

At a minimum, members have five "experiences" when they join with additional experiences available as they wish.

"Our members enjoy unique wine and food based-experiences and the unusual opportunity to go behind closed doors and enjoy truly unprecedented access to the 'rock stars' of the wine world, experiences and opportunities that are otherwise unattainable outside of Destination Cellars," writes the club. "These experiences include private tours and special tastings (similar to a private shopping experience, akin to closing Saks for the night), meeting these wine world celebrities, sharing a wonderful meal with them, and learning more about their passion for what they do. Members also enjoy special barrel tastings and the opportunity to blend their own wine as well as amazing dinners at private vineyard estates tasting wines from the vineyard’s private cellar - wines that are simply not available for purchase anywhere."
