DUO by Quintess

Created by the founders of Quintess, one of the world's largest destination clubs, the aptly titled DUO is the second true destination club launched by Club Holdings. "DUO is a new destination club operated by Club Holdings," said Todd Miller, the Vice President of Marketing at Quintess, when the club launched in late 2010. "It will offer residences across the United States, Caribbean, and Europe with an average residence value of approximately $2 million, a bit of a change from the average $4 million price for Quintess level homes."

DUO is just one portion of a multi-club vision that has existed for Club Holdings virtually since inception, including Quintess and The TOUR Club. "The advantages of having a group of clubs means that members have a network of options and are excited about the potential growth from a membership standpoint. That said, our plan isn't just to have three clubs but to have other luxury travel options and if an opportunity is out there that makes sense, we will look at it and consider doing it."

As stated by the club, DUO members have access to the $4 million properties in the Quintess catalogue and golf retreats in The Tour Club portfolio in addition to their own residences, giving members a healthy mix of vacation options.

Prior to DUO's formal launch, Ultimate Escapes, then the world's second largest destination club, filed for bankruptcy. The 1,000+ members of Ultimate Escapes had their upcoming travel reservations canceled, leaving many to consider other options, including joining another destination club. Looking to capitalize on the opportunity, DUO would fast track their launch and create a discounted membership option for those who were formerly attached to Ultimate Escapes.

This group of castoff Ultimate Escapes members and referrals from existing Quintess members would constitute the club's earliest adopters, many of whom joined prior to the new club even having a website.

Since their humble beginnings, DUO by Quintess has continued to further establish themselves in the industry, proudly publishing their focus on financial disclosure and sustainability. According to the club, all costs of operating the club are covered by the annual dues paid by members.
