Resignation and Redemption

Without question, Ciel offered members one of the most favorable resignation policies in the destination club industry. Memberships were redeemed on a "zero in, one out" basis, a policy far more favorable than nearly every other club that requires two to three new members before one member is redeemed. Memberships were also 100% refundable, just as many other clubs were transitioning to 80% refundable.

The "zero in, one out" and 100% redemption value policies were possible due to the club's unique structure where 40% of membership deposits were used to purchase Treasury Bills. Members were then paid out from this when they left the club.
