Botiga Properties
Launched in 2008, Botiga hoped to become a leader in the equity destination club sector. The high aspirations were met quickly with the near worldwide recession and the club delayed their launch, telling the public that they wanted to enjoy further discounts on real estate before moving further.
Botiga had planned to have a collection of €7 million private residences, members only hotels, city retreats, and yachts available to members.
While real estate values did continue their decline, Botiga's timetable of reintroducing themselves in 2009 never occurred.
The club's lofty ambition's for property acquisitions would have provided members a robust collection of vacation properties spanning the globe.
