Envisioned by Kit Harrison and Peter Scott, Co-Founders of the luxury ski chalet and operator Descent International, Botiga was created based on the American destination club model, but with increased equity ownership at the forefront.

Unfortunately, shortly after the club's unofficial launch, Botiga retreated to the sidelines, looking to see greater discounts on real estate in the future.

Descent International, held by Botiga Holdings, would go into liquidation in 2009 with Harrison at the helm.
