Botiga made their launch announcement in the middle of 2008, just as real estate values began to drop significantly. Before the year was over, Botiga had announced that they would delay their official launch to enjoy even more drastic price reductions for their destination club's collection of properties.

During this short time, no documents were made publicly available from the club. Botiga continues to plan for the future, but has yet to make any announcement regarding when they may return to the destination club sector.
