Based out of the United Kingdom, Arcarnus Retreats used a model that is still used today. Rather than purchasing real estate for members, the club would partner with leading hotels and resorts around the world and pass the savings off to members.

One of the problems with growing the young club was lack of awareness, as Arcarnus Retreats didn't release and press articles.
