Alpine River Club
Usage

Destination clubs typically seek to increase availability to members by purchasing new properties as new members join the club. Although variable across the industry, most clubs model their real estate acquisition schedule to bring on one new property for every six to ten new members that elect to join the club.

Alpine River Club uses a similar structure, acquiring new "beats" as new members join their fishing themed membership club. Alpine River Club defines a beat as "a section of stream that is large enough to support two anglers fishing for an entire eight-hour day."

When the club launched, they published their "minimum goals" for new membership and beat acquisitions, up through 2010. By the end of that year, Alpine River Club planned to provide 59 different beats to their membership base of 295 members, a five beat to one member ratio.
