The small destination club Abundant Life launched in 2007 with a property portfolio of $2 million to $3 million each.

"Abundant Life Club Members enjoy access to exclusive, luxurious estates with a wide choice of destination options, all for much less than the cost of vacationing in a typical hotel suite or the down payment on a luxury home without the hassles, expenses or risks associated with ownership," the club wrote. "Your vacation with Abundant Life is one where more time is spent hosting family and friends, time to enjoy, to reconnect and rediscover. Take the hassle and stress out of your vacation and enjoy your new lifestyle with us. Flexibility, Choice and Luxury, the Abundant Life Advantage."

"At Abundant Life, we recognize that you have a choice of vacation options in which to invest. In return, you deserve a well-managed, fiscally responsible organization to handle your investment. We believe the best way to ensure the security and longevity of the club is to operate with financial transparency."

Members can transfer their memberships at any time to family members without cost. In addition, members can allow guests to use their membership as they wish.

Against clubs like Exclusive Resorts, Quintess, and Ultimate Escapes, Abundant Life has been unable to attract a significant share of the destination club market.

The club remains open, but likely with just a handful of members.

Abundant Life Luxury Estates Vacation Club is the only destination club to use a franchise like model, where regional representatives sell on the club's behalf.
